I just came across this blog tonight and the Lord has been showing me that balance often comes in the form of tension, but I really needed the reminder that it can also have a down side and that there is truth that transcends it all! thank you so much and you're missed! Not Unredeemedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02199124686667175305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2178840217729857734.post-81942831648948667912011-06-10T09:08:04.734-07:002011-06-10T09:08:04.734-07:00Doc, I appreciate where you are coming from but co...Doc, I appreciate where you are coming from but coming from my position where I am working with foster children that are coming from horrible "traditional" families and also working with lesbian couples that are willing to take these children and provide an for these children a safe, stable home where healthy attachment can happen. I am torn. I am not about to tell these women that they are bad parents b/c of their lifestyle. They are actually great examples to their children. As I am not about to say that a "traditional" family is always the best or most healthy b/c I have seen the most disfunction in a "tradition Christian" home. Worldview gets messy when you are actually the one trying to help children and families have a chance at health and not dysfunction.Laura Ickeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03977921019433579130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2178840217729857734.post-51820012761132177272011-06-10T08:30:56.492-07:002011-06-10T08:30:56.492-07:00Thanks for such great commentary.
